国立台湾大学中国文学系毕业，美国休斯敦大学幼教硕士。 曾获「好书大家读」年度最佳少年儿童读物奖、金鼎奖推荐奖、信谊幼儿文学奖文前缀奖、陈国政儿童文学奖散文首奖、宋庆龄儿童文学奖、杨唤儿童文学奖、台北市公交车诗文奖等。 着有儿童散文集《林芳萍散文集1：屋檐上的秘密》、《林芳萍散文集2：走进弟弟山》，儿童散文诗集《稻草人想说的话》，儿童诗歌集《谁要跟我去散步？》、《ㄅㄆㄇ唱学儿歌》、 《我爱玩》、《爱画画的诗》、 《青果子》、 《彩虹花》，童话集《ㄅㄆㄇ识字童话》，绘本创作《猜猜看节日（下）》、《猜猜看去哪里玩？》、《猜猜看交通工具》、《会说话的画》，以及绘本翻译等共百余册。 Fan-Pin Lin has received many national awards including the Good Books for Everyone Award Best Children’s Books of the Year, China Times Open Book Award Best Children’s Books of the Year, the Chen Bochui International Children's Literature Award, the Golden Tripod Awards, the Hsin-Yi Children Literature Award, and the Soong Ching-ling Children's Literature Prize. Lin’s publications with Global Kids include Secrets on the Roof, Into Brother’s Mountain, and Who Wants to go on a Walk with Me?
