1937年抗日戰爭爆發，大批南來文人和電影製片人在上海淪陷後遷居香港，拍攝了不少粵語抗日宣傳電影，又稱「國防電影」。在《市井香港：戰前香港的粵語電影、宣傳電影和文化空間》中，趙傑鋒以這段發生在香港的歷史為開端，闡釋了抗日宣傳電影如何與香港的通俗文化交匯，藉此重組由晚清到戰前香港的通俗文化空間。在這個「眾聲喧嘩」的文化空間中，粵劇和電影、影像和聲音、傳統與現代之間的辯證，意外地開闢了一條渠道予各種文化想像和新可能。這種種因素不但影響了戰前香港粵語電影的發展，更為戰後香港的電影業奠下堅實的基礎。本書亦為1937年至1941年的香港電影史，補上一塊或缺已久的拼圖。

作者簡介

趙傑鋒

趙傑鋒於香港中文大學文學院取得博士學位，現任香港嶺南大學電影及創意產業研究中心助理教授（研究）。
