Aesop's Fables is a collection of fables written by Aesop, a Greek slave and storyteller lived in the fifth century BC. The characters of fables are usually animals who act and talk just like people, but retaining their animal traits : tortoise are slow, hares are quick, tigers eat bird, etc. Aesop uses these qualities of animals to illustrate human traits and wisdom.
