国立台湾师范大学国文系国语科、淡江文理学院英文系毕业。曾任小学老师、新闻记者，历任《国语日报》编辑、编译主任、出版部经理、社长，2005年自国语日报社董事长一职退休。 曾获中国语文学会中国语文奖章、联合国儿童基金会／台湾省教育厅儿童读物金书奖、中山文化基金会文艺创作奖、中兴文艺奖、信谊幼儿文学奖特别贡献奖、金鼎奖终身成就奖、全球华文文学星云奖「特别奖」、国家文艺奖等，并获颁「景星二等勋章」。主要作品有《动物和我》等。 Liang Lin studied both English and Chinese Languages during his college years. He was a school teacher and a journalist before becoming an editor, publisher, president and eventually chairman of the Mandarin Daily before his retirement. Lin has received countless awards during his lifetime, many of which are lifetime achievement awards.
