Peter Pan is the most famous work of J. M. Barrie, who was born on 9 May 1860 in Scotland. He graduated from Edinburgh University in 1882 and later worked as an editor and journalist. In 1885, he moved to London and began his career of being a novelist and playwright. In 1928, he became president of the Society of Authors in England, and in 1930, he was elected chancellor of the University of Edinburgh.
