国立台湾师范大学国文系国语科、淡江文理学院英文系毕业。曾任小学老师、新闻记者，历任《国语日报》编辑、编译主任、出版部经理、社长，2005年自国语日报社董事长一职退休。 曾获中国语文学会中国语文奖章、联合国儿童基金会／台湾省教育厅儿童读物金书奖、中山文化基金会文艺创作奖、中兴文艺奖、信谊幼儿文学奖特别贡献奖、金鼎奖终身成就奖、全球华文文学星云奖「特别奖」、国家文艺奖等，并获颁「景星二等勋章」。主要作品有《动物和我》等。 Liang Lin studied both English and Chinese Languages during his college years.
