作者侯活‧岳雲 Howard H. Irving 博士,是多倫多大學社會工作學院兼法學院的教授,曾擔任法學和社會工作聯合課程的主任。他早年在羅德島大學,康奈迪克大學,及多倫多大學接受教育。作為執業治療師和家事調解員,二十五年來,他在家事調解方面撰寫了六十餘篇論文和七部教科書,一直是推展治療性家事調解模式的先驅。
