梅．戈尔斯坦(Melvyn C. Goldstein)是凯斯西储大学(Case Western Reserve University)的人类学教授，同时也是该校藏学研究中心的负责人之一。他的代表作有《西藏现代史》(A History of Modern Tibet)第一、二、三卷，《雪狮与龙》(Snow Lion and the Dragon: China, Tibet, and the Dalai Lama)，以及《一位藏族革命家》(A Tibetan Revolutionary: The Political Life and Times of Bapa Phüntso Wangye)等，均由加州大学出版社出版。
