魯直（1914–1971），原名魯嘉廉，陝西省橫山縣人（今陝西省榆林市橫山區人），自1928年起參與共產主義革命。他先後在縣、巿、省等級別擔任共產黨和政府的各種要職，如中共西北局辦公廳秘書、陝甘寧邊區靖邊縣委書記、第一野戰軍和西北軍區政治部宣傳部長兼文化部長、新華社西北野戰分社社長、陝西省委工業部長、西安市委書記、農墾部科委副主任等。
魯曉鵬，魯直之子，美國印第安納大學比較文學博士，現為加州大學戴維斯校區比較文學傑出教授。著有《從史實性到虛構性：中國敘事詩學》、《影像、文學、理論：重新審視中國現代性》等書，並編有《嶺南學人林縵華文集》和《碧城樂府：林碧城詞集》等書。
