A young man visits a quiet country house for a ‘rest cure’, only to meet a teenager who tells him a chilling tale of a family tragedy and a ghost-filled garden. Nervous and trapped, the young man must decide if he is losing his mind or seeing the impossible.****************************The author behind this story was Hector Hugh Munro, who wrote under the pen name ‘Saki’. Born in 1870 in Burma (now Myanmar) ) and raised by strict aunts in England, Saki was famous for his witty short stories. He often wrote about clever children or young people who outsmarted boring or serious adults. He could tell a full, exciting story in just a few pages. Sadly, Saki’s life ended during the First World War in 1916, but he left behind a collection of stories that are still celebrated for their dark humour and surprising endings.
